The UBIQ AI Society traces its origins to May 2018, inspired by the Vancouver TED Conference themed “The Age of Amazement,” where AI and blockchain were highlighted as transformative forces shaping the future.
Out of this inspiration, a community of innovators and practitioners quickly coalesced, initiating a series of activities that laid the foundation for the Society’s mission.
Since then, Society members have organized a number of influential gatherings, including the Blockchain and AI Summit at the University of British Columbia in October 2018, the Global Digital Asset Summit at Vancouver’s Pan Pacific Hotel in October 2019, and the AI Trend Workshops held in Vancouver, Hong Kong, and Dubai in 2024.
In 2025, the Society becomes the permanent organizer of the Vancouver AI Blockchain Summit.
